Wenfei Quan

Bio: Quan Wenfei (b. 1992, China) is currently based in New York, where she is pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts at Columbia University. Her works have been exhibited at Art Miami, Eli Klein Gallery (New York), Lenfest Center for the Arts, Wallach Art Gallery (New York), China Printmaking Museum, XuyuanInternational Printmaking Center, and Shanghai Exhibition Center, among others. Many of her works are held in private and institutional collections. She was a finalist in the 5th China International Printmaking Exhibition and the 1st Xuyuan Print Biennial.

Artist Statement: Internet archaeology & human verification are central to Wenfei’s practice, reflecting on the experience of growing up in the digital age. Through printmaking, sculpture, installation, and video, Wenfei excavates the data-driven future of humanity and the aesthetic ruins of the internet’s fleeting history.
