Meg Turner
Bio: Meg Turner (American, b.1985) combines intimate portraiture, sign painting and printmaking with a study of propaganda and economic policy. Inviting friends and strangers into text-heavy sets Turner uses tintype photography and humor to harness collective longing and ecstatic exhibitionism. Turner received her BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2008 and her MFA from Columbia University in 2018. Turner primarily lives and makes work in New Orleans, Louisiana. She travels to teach as an adjunct professor and to work on collaborative projects throughout the country. She makes excellent biscuits.
